Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on August 20th 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Famous for her naive and adorable characters. Adams was one of seven siblings that grew up as a young child in Colorado's Castle Rock. Adams was born when her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. At the beginning of 1990, she started professional dancing and acting with Boulder's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. In Minnesota she performed at a regional theater, where her character was in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a parody documentary about pages of beauty. Her debut as a screen actress was the bright, beautiful contestant. Following that she moved her home to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career acting. The couple also had children Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. She was discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and began her film career in the 1940s. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular films in the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis film from 1954).
