April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in seventh grade. This sparked curiosity. April's first song was Different, which she wrote when she was 12 years old. The year she turned 14 was when she devoted a great deal of her time making song lyrics and working on her musical skills. Then she began to take trips to write with father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April started to incorporate various other topics relevant to the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing following as a lifestyle influencer as well as a spokesperson for the popular clean beauty company Ilia. As a woman born with no left hand, Lockhart has a significant part to play in her. However, it's not her entire story. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't shy away from her being disabled and does not focus on it. What message is it trying to convey? We all have multiple aspects and that we are all unique and that we're much greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart has stated on video that she doesn't wish to be defined solely by her physical disability. She doesn't want to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about that. There are a variety of aspects of Lockhart. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I do the normal things and have adapted to my disability. Since it's a an integral part of me It's a topic worthy of discussion. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey is one that can last for a long time, and she has been a source of inspiration for this purpose. Still, she acknowledges going through phases of insecurity with her body, and also feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which exposed her arms. Today, she wears anything she likes. and she shares pictures on social media. Self-love for her was always a lengthy process. It's true for all, no matter what their levels of anxiety. People you associate yourself with, who know your personal story and who can look into your heart are the most important people to remind you of what you're worrying about.
