Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office The Office, for which she was awarded the Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Comedy.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was attracted by her mother's worship services as she began her career.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her roots. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
In October 2019, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey started an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has become wildly popular, landing in the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads in its first two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life The Actor's Life is her first novel, and describes the path she traveled starting in St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became an actress professionally. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her closest friend, and their experience working at The Office.
